Bonhaye is based in East Devon, founded by Miranda who has a degree in Fashion Design from Bournemouth University. When Miranda graduated, she felt certain that she didn’t want to contribute to fast fashion. Miranda was friends with several UK craftspersons and so she decided only to work with these amazing people. Using her fashion design skills she started out working with UK leather crafters and had a successful gloves company for several years. Unfortunately the bottom fell out of British leather so after a brief pause, Miranda shifted her attention to cashmere. And Bonhaye was born. At Bonhaye, Miranda sources the finest quality cashmere, she brings her unique designs to a few select UK manufacturers who create our luxury accessories.

The collection at Bonhaye evolves over time but the quality and beauty of the products remain.

Bonhaye is a regular exhibitor at Soho Farmhouse, Chelsea Town Hall, The Early Early Christmas Fair, The Hampshire Fair, The Eden Project Christmas Fair, Symondsbury Christmas Market, Clems Fair, The Daisy Trust Fair at Hurlingham Members Club.

QUALITY & FAIRNESS

I cannot emphasise enough how much thought, care, and attention to detail goes into every item we make at Bonhaye. We strive to create products that are of superb quality and at a price that’s fair and right.

In the process of our manufacturing we have made sure everyone involved has been paid and treated fairly.

We are committed to ensure every piece is made to the highest possible specification. From the cashmere goats and sheep, to the farmers who care for them on their grasslands, to the technicians who spin and dye our yarns and the craftspeople who make and hand-finish our garments. We are especially proud of our hand knitters in Scotland whose skills are becoming increasingly rare. Everyone along the supply chain is looked after.

In our bath, body & fragrance range we use the highest quality, natural and organic ingredients that are kind to your skin and to the planet. The small factory hand-making these for us, treat their staff like family and care is paramount to their ethos.

MATERIALS

CASHMERE:

We use 100% cashmere that has been sourced from high grade goats fleece. These fleeces are some of the best quality wool in the world. The products are made in Scotland at one of the oldest mills in the country, using expert craftspeople and age-old techniques that cannot be beaten.

Our manufacturer dyes our cashmere before spinning it into yarn which helps with the incredible softness and creates beautiful colours for our products.

LAMBSWOOL:

We use 100% pure, new wool, a natural and sustainable product. This is the finest lambs wool available. We create the designs and our trusted manufacturing partner in Scotland craft them.

BODY & FRAGRANCE:

Our beauty partner creates home fragrance and body care that is kind to both you and the environment.

Using recyclable materials, powering their production premises with solar energy and contributing to a tree planting charity to offset their carbon footprint. They use 100% organic, vegan ingredients with natural essential oils and choose suppliers who are transparent about their ingredients and practices. We have chosen to use them for our manufacturing because of these values and because they are leading the way for sustainable home fragrance in the UK. We can all feel great about our purchases.
